Patiala House Posters Changed to Incorporate Anushka Sharma

The makers of upcoming Bollywood film Patiala House have reportedly decided to change the promotional posters of the film. According to reports in the media, this change has been finalized at the last moment to incorporate the leading lady of the film Anushka Sharma. Post her box office success with the Yash Raj film Band Baaja Baarat, Anushka Sharma has become one of the most wanted young actresses of Bollywood. And it is keeping this fact in mind that the producers will now promote Patiala House as a love story between lead actors Akshay Kumar and Anushka Sharma as opposed to the earlier choice of projecting the film as a father-son emotional drama.
However, the director of Patiala House, Nikhil Advani has vehemently refuted any claim of making changes in the film’s poster keeping only Anushka Sharma in mind. In a statement to the media, Nikhil Advani says that the concept of a variety of posters had always been in his mind and it was only the Akshay Kumar – Rishi Kapoor poster that was released initially. Nikhil Advani also confirmed that since Anushka Sharma is an integral part of the star cast, there was no question of releasing posters without her picture.
Patiala House essentially concentrates between the emotional tussle between a son (played by Akshay Kumar) and father (played by Rishi Kapoor). Their battle begins when the son wants to join the England cricket team inspite of being an Indian citizen. Patiala House hits theaters in February.

Yana Gupta Will Not Fall Short of Panties this Year!

The Czechoslovakian born girl Yana Gupta of ‘Babuji Zara Dheere Chalo’ fame has received a unique New Year gift this year. The fans of the 31 year old lady gifted her several boxes filled with panties! However, Yana has taken this in her stride and said that she accepted them gracefully.

We all know the reason behind this gift. She was photographed in a charity event in Mumbai without any inner wear and the topic got spread among the media like wild fire. Her ‘pantyless act’ made her hit once again even though the photographer, the organizer and the item girl, were sued by a social activist.
So, Yana will remember the incidence forever in her life and will never forget her panties on any occasion. Moreover, these New Year gifts will not allow her to forget it throughout this year at least.
Yana shared about her New Year gifts on the micro-blogging site Twitter saying that she can start her New Year safely with those unusual gifts and she even thanked her fans for those boxes.
However, one thing is sure that Yana will not require buying panties for this year as her fans have gifted lots of those to her on the first day of the year itself. She will have lot of choice and variety to select from for various occasions!

Movie Review: Dhobi Ghat (Mumbai Dairies) 2011

Director: Kiran Rao
Starring: Aamir Khan, Prateik Babbar, Monica Dogra, Kirti Malhotra
Rating: ***

Watching a 95-minute- Dhobi Ghat -Mumbai diaries has a different and a fresh way of storytelling.  This film surely stands apart from our earlier films also because the narration of the characters has been showcased through different means. Like Yasmin’s life has been narrated over on the television set. The movie is about four unrelated characters, who come across each other after spending few days in the company of each other and later they slowly move onto their way of living.
The incidents that occur in the life span of these four characters surely keep the anxiety level of the on looker at a higher level.
Arun (Aamir Khan), a chain smoker and artist (painter), goes to bed with Shai (Monica Dogra), an NRI investment banker who wants to capture ‘poor India, hungry India’. Shai also gets close to Dhobi, Munna (Prateik Babbar) also invites him home for tea and then goes ahead to shoot his portfolio, as he wants to be an actor. While Shai is busy scanning the by-lanes of Mumbai with her camera, Arun gets en-tangled with his new muse, Yasmin (Kriti Malhotra), whose depressing story is filmed in abandoned tapes that he finds lying  in his  fresh rented apartment. Pratiek plays three characters simultaneously- a rat killer, Dhobi and a gigolo.
Kiran Rao showcases ample of potentials as fresh director. She has the guts of painting the celluloid in a different way. Indeed an
intense, intelligent film. It’s a great idea to ally characters from all spheres of life with the background of the city the film is surely a festival film and also for classes. The masses may be attracted by Aamir‘s charm.

Prateik has played all the three characters in a very subdued manner. Acting genes in the actor has been proved by his meticulous performances. Monica believed as an upper class NRI has definitely performed exuberantly, being a first timer there will be no looking back for her. Kirti Malhotara’s monologue does not bore you at all. You surely crave to know what will be her end. She deserves a pat on her back for her brilliant performances.
Aamir brings-forth his contemplative role with great burgeon; His strip of white hair will indeed steal the hearts of many a beautiful young girls.
The ending is abrupt so for traditional audiences may not like it as they are more used to the summing up of each trail.
Cinematography is pretty attractive. Music soothes ones ears. Effective editing as per the demand of the script indeed is excellent without which the film would have been a drab.
All in all Aamir Charm will surely allure the audiences and create traffic jam at the box office windows.
“I am not a Casanova” – Emraan Hashmi
“I am not a Casanova” – Emraan Hashmi

Emraan Hashmi the on reel Casanova is once again coming up with his romantic aspirations in Madhur Bhandarkar’s “Dil Toh Bachcha Hai”.

Ask him if he is a Casanova in real life he smiles and says,” No I am not a Casanova in my real life.  If at all I was a flirt I would have not got married to my girl friend –my wife.” Emraan is enjoying his married life and more than anything he is enjoying his fatherhood status.” Yes! I now understand how my father may have tried his best to bring me up. And also all the things which may be wrong that I may have wanted to do then with a convincing capacity he may have made me do the right things.”
Further adding how he enjoys playing with his kid,” I always take some leisure time to be with my son. It is a real good feeling to be able to nurture your kid.”
Emraan feels that the junta does not allow him to change his Avatar,” Yes I did try to change my image in my earlier film but I presume my fans are happier to watch me in my romantic genre only. But I guess with Dibakar Banerjee’s film I am all set to change my image and this film “Shanghai” will showcase the other side of my talent.” Turning nostalgic about wanting to bring a change in his on reel characters he says,” Who would not like to get different roles. I too am interested in wanting to do comic, as well as thriller, romantic and other genre of film. My fans identify me in frivolous, mischieveous character. I am keeping my fingers crossed to be able to change my avatar.” He gushes enthusiastically.
Being the romantic king on screen he does find it interesting to teach lessons to Ajay Devgan in “DTBH. Laughs aloud and says,” Yap! I am teaching love making lessons to Ajay in the film. I don’t have to take any lessons to impart romance making know-how.”
Romance making is universally known to one all, isn’t it? Who does not taste love and romance during their youth hood? I have also gone through all that. But yes! It feels great to teach romantic lessons to Ajay in the film.” He confirms Talking about Murder2 he adds,” I have never disassociated myself from the Bhatts.Murder2 is quite different when compared to Murder. It deals with extra marital affair; it deals with different dimensions of sex and love.”
Last but not the least Emraan did not attend the screen award function to which he clarifies,” I was not convinced with the category of Award bestowed upon me so I kept myself away from attending the function” he clarifies.
